Job Role: As the Assistant Finance / Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing aspects of financial operations within the company #39;s various entities providing solutions in the UK infrastructure sector. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, managing budgets, and providing strategic guidance to support decision-making processes. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to make a significant impact in a dynamic industry. Key Responsibilities: * Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing. * Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement. * Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. * Coordinate with project managers and department heads to monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability. * Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to support project feasibility studies and investment decisions. * Assist in the preparation of tender documents, project proposals, and financial models. * Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and financial institutions. * Support the Senior Finance Manager in strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and business expansion. * Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Qualifications: * Bachelor #39;s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA or equivalent certification preferred. * Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the infrastructure or rail sector. * Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques. * Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and ERP systems including Xero. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. * Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in project accounting or cost management is a plus
