Main Duties and Responsibilities: bull; Provide and maintain the highest possible standard of clinical care for patients. bull; Ensure accurate completion of all documentation and give/receive patient-centered handovers. bull; Maintain cleanliness and infection prevention and control (IPC) within the operating department, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. bull; Assist in cleaning theatre and equipment between patients and at the end of theatre sessions. bull; Contribute to the efficient running of theatre lists by assisting with cleaning and turnaround of theatre and equipment between patients. bull; Work as part of the scrub team, rotating tasks such as scrubbing and assisting for procedures. bull; Identify personal objectives, reflect on progress, and set a personal development plan annually. bull; Collaborate with Lead Nurse to address training and development needs. bull; Keep practice updated using appropriate clinical supervision models. bull; Expand practice in line with NMC and HCPC guidelines and protocols. bull; Adhere to NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining registration. bull; Participate in WHO surgical checks including briefing and debriefing at the beginning and end of theatre lists. bull; Engage in clinical governance, escalate concerns, and assist with investigations as requested. bull; Develop clinical knowledge and professional skills through relevant training. bull; Maintain patient notes and documents according to guidelines, ensuring legibility and accuracy. bull; Foster good communication between healthcare professionals and promote safe working practices. bull; Manage team and theatre list, ensuring tasks are rotated and breaks allocated appropriately. bull; Escalate staff concerns to Theatre Lead or Deputy as necessary. bull; Ensure efficient and safe running of theatre lists. bull; Take measures to ensure patient safety and promptly report accidents/incidents. bull; Safeguard patient property and valuables in line with agreed procedures. bull; Assist in carrying out audits as required. bull; Complete Statutory and Mandatory training. bull; Adhere to hospital policies and department SOPs. Qualifications, Previous Knowledge, and Experience: bull; NMC registered Nurse or HCPC registered ODP qualification. bull; English language proficiency to IELTS 7.0. bull; Experience in a similar role. bull; RN/RGN/ODP equivalent with ASP Part 1. bull; Demonstrable record of CPD. bull; Knowledge of current issues in professional practice. bull; Effective influencing skills. bull; Proactive approach to change and quality improvement. bull; Ability to prioritize workload and instruct/direct others. bull; Calm, caring, and empathic attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. bull; Effective communication skills at all levels. bull; Willingness to participate in flexible working. bull; Clean and tidy appearance, adhering to uniform policy. bull; Strong organisational skills. bull; Ability to work well as part of a team. bull; Willingness to learn new skills through practical experience.
