Maths teacher St Helens Easter 2024 to July 2024 possibly longer This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful oversubscribed school. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and energetic classroom practitioner who is passionate about Maths to join a supportive and well-resourced maths department. The high school and Sixth Form College has approximately 1500 students of which 250 are in the Sixth Form. The school and sixth form was graded as #39;Good #39; by Ofsted in November 2021. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS: Location -St Helens Position - Maths Teacher (KS3/4), KS5 (ideally, but not essential for most schools) Type of work - Teaching Start date -Easter 2024 Likely Duration - ongoing Contract type - Temporary Full time Minimum rate of pay - from GBP140 per day Hours - 8:15am - 4pmEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however, it is not essential that it is Maths related) Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Maths Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80 Provide a minimum of two professional referencesIf you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
