Michael Page are currently supporting a leading manufacturer based in St Helens in their search for a Continuous Improvement Technician, with an aim to support and drive cost savings across the manufacturing process. Client Details The business is a market leading OEM that supplies specialised products into automotive and non automotive synchronous drive applications and entering an exciting phase of developing and marketing a new generation of sustainable value add products. Description As Continuous Improvement Technician you will report to the CI/4IR Manager and tasked with driving efficiencies/cost savings across the business, including Production, Quality, Engineering, Health and Safety. By liaising with each department, you will develop strategies to identify cost/time saving opportunities, whilst delivering on LEAN projects that drive sustainable improvements. You will create analytics to document, report and present your findings and project milestones. Duties: Communicating effectively with each individual department to drive improvements and operational cost savings across the manufacturing teams. Work proactively to develop and implement strategies focused on cost saving and process optimization Facilitate cross departmental cooperation to ensure effect implementation of cost saving measures.Profile The Continuous Improvement Technician will be a LEAN champion, with an evident background of driving cost improvements within manufacturing settings. Having delivered on CI projects previously you will utilize LEAN methodologies and Six Sigma processes in order to reach your targets. Skills Minimum of LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt Degree level or equivalent qualification in the relevant field A data driven individual with an eye for detail and is comfortable working with Quality tools/techniques An excellent working knowledge of LEAN methodologies to improve Yield, Output, Safety and Quality A solid background in problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills Technical/Project Management report writing skills Autonomous and self-motivated attitude with an ability to influence all areas of the organisation.Competencies - Safety and Quality Focus: Develops safety as a team value - recognises and reinforces safe leadership behaviours and challenges unsafe behaviours Passion For Excellence: Shows resilience by consistently displaying a positive outlook and responding resourcefully when faced with new challenges and demands Decision Making: Takes appropriate actions to minimise risks and maximise the opportunities in decision-making process.
