Accounts payable clerk

Our client is a leading manufacturing organisation in the food industry. With recent acquisitions and commitment to growth, they require an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Finance team. As a key member of a team of 4, based in Harrogate, you will play an essential role in ensuring accurate and efficient accounts payable processes. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, managing payment cycles, and building relationships with cross-functional teams. #x1F454; Accounts Payable Clerk #x1F552; Office based; Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. #x1F4B0; Salary of GBP23,000 - GBP25,000 per year. #x1F334; Holiday entitlement of 25 + 8 days per year. #x1F3E6; People #39;s Pension scheme. Responsibilities: Processing all invoices received for payment accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Undertaking the payment of all creditors. Reconciling supplier and nominal accounts as part of the month-end process. Processing payments, running ad-hoc, and scheduled supplier payment cycles. Managing the central accounts payable mailboxes to ensure all invoices are processed. Building working relationships with cross-functional teams such as Procurement, Facilities IT. Optimising supplier relationships to improve overall accounts payable performance. Assisting the line manager with any additional ad hoc tasks.To succeed in this role, you will need previous experience in accounts payable and familiarity with systems-based purchase order environments. Proficiency in Xero and Sage 200 accounting software, along with intermediate MS Excel skills, is essential. You will thrive in this fast-paced environment if you perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
