Role: Teaching Assistant - Primary Location: South East London Contract: Full time Start: ASAP Rate: GBP95-105(PAYE) Are you an enthusiastic TA looking to advance your experience in Education. We are seeking a dedicated candidate who is willing to support key stage 2 pupils with Autism and ADHD with within one of our leading SEN primary school. To undertake this role, you will be dealing with challenging behaviour and using various reinforcement strategies to provide support for these two boys best challenging position and would require someone who can defuse tough situations. This will be a group Teaching Assistant role, whereby your primary responsibility will be to work closely with individual students who require additional support due to behavioural challenges. You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student. The ideal candidate: Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. Requirements: 1 year school experience GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Level 2 or C grade or equivalent. Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures. Experience with pupils with SEMH, ASD is desirable. DBS (preferably on the update service).
