Job Title: Health Safety Manager Location: St.Albans City Hospital, Waverley Road, St.Albans, AL3 5PN Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday, 37.5 hours a week. Pay: GBP26.06 (GBP50,817 per year), plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays Trust Location: West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust We have temporary 6-month placement opportunity available for Health Safety Manager to work within West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, St.Albans City Hospital, Waverley Road, St.Albans, AL3 5PN. What you rsquo;ll be responsible for middot; Day to day operational implementation of the Health and Safety Management Policy middot; Set, review, monitor and report on the Trust rsquo;s key health and safety strategic objectives/direction and, set targets that evidence improvement, both on a strategic and operational level middot; Set-up, schedule, manage and report on a health and safety/non-clinical risk auditing and Hospital wide monitoring program. middot; Provide expert advice to the Trust, including all departments on H S legislation, and best practice as requested. middot; Liaise with external enforcing authorities, i.e., the Health Safety Executive (HSE) middot; Liaise with Trust managers of all levels and with the Trust Fire Authorising Engineer. Experience: middot; Educated to Master rsquo;s Degree or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience, plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate level courses experience to master rsquo;s equivalent level. middot; In depth managerial, financial and strategic knowledge demonstrated through leadership or management qualification e.g., ILM qualification or equivalent. middot; Experience of working in a complex clinical environment in a similar role. middot; Experience of working with external bodies such as Fire and Rescue Services. middot; Experience of managing a team and managing a budget.
