The Role: 1:2:1 Home Tutor Start date: ASAP Location: Middlesbrough Pay Scale: GBP20 - GBP35 per hour DOE TeacherActive are currently working with schools in the Middlesbrough area who are seeking additional tutoring support for their students in Maths, English and Science. We are keen to hear from inspiring PGCE and QTS Teachers who are considering a career within education. Ideally you will have your DBS on the update service, or willing to acquire one. Key responsibilities: bull; Creating lesson plans tailored to the student #39;s learning style bull; Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system bull; Deliver engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles bull; Drive measurable outcomes from each session to measure impact bull; Work collaboratively with educational/care stakeholders ensuring student support. bull; Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines. Desired experience: bull; Experienced in tutoring one to one or small groups of pupils who require additional educational or pastoral support bull; Experience in taking supervision and correction constructively bull; Experience working in inclusion units, special settings or alternative provisions bull; Experience in working with students with SEN, children with undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people or looked after children Responsibilities: bull; Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and build a curriculum, creating lesson plans individual to the student #39;s learning style bull; Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system bull; Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks bull; Assisting students in understanding key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom bull; Contribute to students #39; learning, growth and advancement bull; Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice bull; Work collaboratively with schools, foster carers and social workers in order to ensure the student receives tailored support bull; Working in accordance with the safeguarding guidelines Essential qualities: bull; Inspirational, effective flexible communications skills bull; Competent IT skills, access to laptop/computer, audio and visual bull; Stable broadband internet connection bull; Ability to develop meaningful relationships, encourage and motivate students.
