Job Title: School Business Manager Location: Derby, DE1 3HF Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week, Full Year Salary: GBP37,000 - GBP40,000 depending on experience We are currently seeking a School Business Manager to join an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. As part of our clients growth strategy, we are excited to be opening a brand-new Primary and Secondary Special Education school which will open its doors in early 2025. The School is based in Derby with a proposed capacity of 72 students aged between 5-19. It is anticipated that the student cohort will have a primary diagnosis of ASC/ADHD. Looking for a School Business Manager to join them in September 2024, you will support with the planning, creation, registration, opening and running of the new provision. The building will be completely redeveloped, and work is already underway to design the look and feel of the school to ensure it fulfils its potential of being an amazing learning environment. The facilities will allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment with a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve. The Role The Role of the School Business Manager is an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for the leadership, management supervision and development of the support services within the school, ensuring an efficient, safe, healthy, clean, and comfortable environment is provided within budget and in line with strategic aims and objectives. There is an expectation that you will act with a high degree of autonomy including responsibility and accountability for managing delegated budgets and resources. The role also involves creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development plans aimed at bringing about continual improvement in the areas of responsibility.
