The purpose of this role is to seek and secure the winning of profitable engineering contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a similar role. In return you rsquo;ll receive: GBP5,000 car allowance Hybrid working 2 days a week 25 days holiday plus BH 6% employer pension Sales Manager responsibilities: Managing customers rsquo; expectations and securing profitable contracts Defining and managing the processes associated with enquiry management Ensuring that project concepts and plans are produced, communicated, and understood by the other areas of the business Taking responsibility for assigned accounts and customers Where agreed take the lead and be the customers key point of contact during the proposal and sales phases Understanding and managing risk (technical, commercial, financial and programme) for project proposals to protect the company Meeting sales targets for profitability, revenue and other relevant KPIs Working closely with the Directors and Management team to set and maintain the direction and strategy for the department to meet business targets and KPIs Producing business plans and acquire market knowledge to increase sales opportunities and profitability Ensuring that deadlines set by customers and the organisation are achieved Managing your own development, knowledge acquisition and sharing of information whilst mentoring other team members Key requirements and preferences: Very good communication and organisation skills, ability to confidently present and negotiate with customers and internal stakeholders Able to demonstrate the desire and determination to exceed performance targets HND qualified or equivalent Extensive commercial and technical experience from similar industries and roles Be technically and numerically competent, with an analytical approach.
