They are evolving to become a truly purpose-led organisation through our focus on energising a greener, fairer future In this role, you will be a key member of the Infrastructure / Assets team, responsible for driving the strategic procurement efforts that underpin our success. Your primary objective will be to develop and execute a comprehensive Category strategy, working closely with stakeholders and other Category leaders to navigate complex procurement landscapes. Your dedication to securing the most advantageous commercial outcomes for the organisation will place you at the forefront of initiatives spanning various categories, including Batteries, Solar, Combined Heat and Power, Construction Services, and Ancillary Equipment. About You bull; Degree level qualification in procurement, business, or relevant discipline, 2+ years of experience in a large-scale procurement organization. bull; Direct procurement experience in various areas, such as EPC procurement, large construction projects with FIDIC or NEC Contracts, projects involving CHP, Peaker engines, BESS, or Solar installations, and manufacturing solar, BESS, or ancillary equipment. bull; Experience performing end-to-end Category Management activities. bull; Desirable certifications include MCIPS or ISM, though not mandatory. bull; Ability to translate stakeholder requirements and market dynamics into a clear category strategy. bull; Demonstrated strategic thinking, linking the category strategy to business needs. bull; Strong knowledge of navigating market dynamics and commercial awareness. bull; Competence in commercial negotiation and construction contract drafting (FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or similar).
