Job Title: KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Accrington Contract Type: Full-time Salary: GBP12.90 - GBP15 per hour Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to KS2 pupils with SEN, both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities to meet the individual needs of SEN pupils. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other members of the school staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies. Monitor and track the progress of SEN pupils, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO. Requirements: Experience working with children in a KS2 setting or providing one-to-one support to SEN pupils. A genuine passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to their holistic development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges and promoting inclusivity. Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential.
