Duties of the Mental Health Nurse: Work as an autonomous Perinatal Community Nurse with a defined caseload Ensuring the on-going assessment of adults within the service and providing a range of needs-led interventions and care Work in consultation with other professionals making known concerns regarding safeguarding children and safeguarding adults to the appropriate and responsible services Provide written information for all perinatal referrals received into the team to the referrers Aid the identification and treatment for the mental health needs of pregnant women and those with infants up to one year old Requirements of the Mental Health Nurse: Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing Experience working as a Registered Mental Health Nurse NMC Registration Experience working in an NHS setting Experience of general adult inpatient, Mother and Baby inpatient unit, community mental health services or CAMHS Prior experience of working with women who suffer from moderate to severe mental illness in the perinatal period is essential Contact: This Mental Health Nurse job is advertised by Deane Garrard; if you are interested in this position please click above to apply now.
