Role Overview: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-on-one with a child in Year 1. The child is non-verbal and has autism, requiring specialized support to enhance their learning experience and personal development. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to a non-verbal autistic child in Year 1. Implement and adapt learning activities to meet the child #39;s individual needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support. Monitor and record the child #39;s progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.Requirements: Previous experience working with children with autism, particularly non-verbal. Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
