Job Description: PE Teacher (SEN) Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: GBP30000 - GBP46000 dependant on experience About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PE Teacher (SEN) to join our team at a specialised SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education to students with special educational needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. PE Teacher (SEN) Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH. Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes physical activity and personal growth. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support students #39; holistic development. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour support strategies. Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse needs. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities. PE Teacher (SEN) Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialisation in PE. Proven experience as a PE Teacher (SEN), preferably in an SEMH setting. Strong understanding of the challenges and strategies involved in teaching students with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
