Job Title: SEN Art Teacher Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk SEN Art Teacher Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP46,000 per annum Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (44 weeks per year) Hours: 8.30am ndash; 4pm About Our Partner School: The school in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk caters to pupils with special educational needs, specifically those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Students are aged 11 to 16 and have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to support their social, emotional, and academic development. The school takes a holistic and tailored approach to education, ensuring that each student receives high-quality support and services. SEN Art Teacher Role Responsibilities: As a SEN Art Teacher in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, your responsibilities will include: * Teaching small classes of pupils both within and outside the classroom. * Planning and preparing lessons and resources, making adaptations to meet the diverse needs of all pupils. * Marking and assessing students rsquo; work. * Liaising with parents, external agencies, and other professionals. * Developing and adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs. SEN Art Teacher Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS). * Knowledge and experience in SEN. * The ability to deliver Art lessons in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk across key stages 3, 4, and 5. * Proven experience of working with specialist education for young people. * Excellent skills in de-escalating challenging behaviour. * A pupil-centred approach and the ability to assess and monitor student progression. * The ambition to advance your subject area. * The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
