Multi skilled maintenance engineer

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer * Leicester based, 4 on 4 off shift pattern working days and nights (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am). * Electrically biassed maintenance (70% - 80% of tasks) with some mechanical works. * Up to GBP42K per year basic salary (depending on experience) + regular overtime available. * Employment benefits include: Ongoing training for upskilling (such as BG01, BOAS, NEBOSH, MEWP etc), 29 days holiday entitlement, breakfast club, free parking, discount schemes. It is the biggest laundry of its kind in the UK and processes over 1m items per week (bed lined, sheets, duvets etc). Over the last couple of years, the company has replaced most of the older machines with state of the art machines (and technology) and introduced a Laundry Academy for upskilling engineers. What is the job purpose and main duties involved in this role? You will be accountable for the timely completion of work set by the Engineering Manager and will be providing support in relation to all maintenance tasks. These include day to day breakdowns, PPM activities, equipment updates, new installations, and building / infrastructure upgrades. What skills, qualifications and experience are required: * Must be time-served a recognised qualification relevant to the role (such as City Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering). * Must be particularly competent in PLC fault-finding and maintaining electrical components (such as motors, sensors, and power supplies). * Preferred knowledge of mechanical maintenance engineering disciplines (such as replacing, repairing and maintaining shafts, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
