Senior facility engineer

As a Senior Facility Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering professional engineering services to support the maintenance of assets and equipment essential for our client #39;s programmes. Role Overview: The Senior Facility Engineer will collaborate closely with the Principal Asset Engineer to execute the strategy for asset maintenance and ensure the delivery of engineering tasks aligns with schedule, budget, and quality standards. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, ethics, and collaboration, along with the ability to devise innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. Key Accountabilities: * Demonstrate safe, effective, and ethical working behaviors in all activities. * Adhere to management system requirements for engineering activities. * Deliver engineering tasks to schedule, budget, and quality requirements. * Maintain high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality. * Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: * Apply extensive domain and technical knowledge to ensure the design intent, as-built standards, and system performance of engineered systems and structures. * Interpret and deliver complex tasks from the Asset Engineering Solutions order book, making evidence-based engineering decisions to solve technical problems. * Lead and advise engineers in delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering problems. * Identify and escalate business risks related to engineered systems and structures, and follow up on actions to mitigate these risks. * Inform department or project engineering strategies to optimize operations. * Demonstrate adherence to management system requirements and relevant technical standards, providing guidance to others. * Engage with company delivery and administrative requirements, reporting progress transparently and supporting performance management. * Optimize the delivery of Operations Engineering. Additional Responsibilities: * Contract Management * Safety Cases Management * Managing external stakeholder safety cases * Stakeholder management and engagement * Design reviews and leading shortfall meetings * Collaboration on stakeholder engagement initiatives * Maintenance of live documents Key Part of Role: Safety Cases * Conduct risk assessments for facility operations and propose improvements. * Utilize a nuclear background to facilitate safety reviews and hazardous assessments. Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor #39;s degree in Engineering or related field. * years of experience in facility engineering or related roles. * Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. * Demonstrated ability to lead and advise engineering teams. * Experience in contract management and stakeholder engagement. Additional Information: * This role may involve occasional travel to stakeholder sites or project locations. * Additional accountabilities may be defined through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements.
