Job title: Carpenter Location: Welwyn and Hatfield Salary: GBP31,000 - GBP34,000 + van and fuel card Job: Permanent Job Description: We are looking for an experienced carpenter to undertake a variety of tasks in social housing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Responsibilities: Perform carpentry work related to the construction and repair of social housing units. Install, repair, and replace doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, and other wooden fixtures. Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders.Requirements: Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a social housing context. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver #39;s license and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications: Must have a certification or diploma in carpentry.
