Sen teaching assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant based in Gorton, Manchester. Full-Time, Teaching Assistant with experience and knowledge working with children with SEN to work within an Resource Provision in a Primary School. About the role: Resource Provision to support children with SEN within a mainstream Primary School. Teaching Assistant role ndash; working with pupils 1:1 and supporting children in small groups. Role supported by SENCO, Headteacher and Deputy Head to offer guidance and mentoring. Full Time, 5 days a week. 08:30 ndash; 15:30 You should be able to use verbal and non-verbal communicators, alongside the use of lsquo;Now and Next rsquo; cards and Visual Timelines. You should know that following routines is very important and hold good communication skills. You will be working closely with the school SENCO and Class Teacher to support with Maths and Literacy work alongside other subjects. Within this role you will be given opportunities to build your own rapport of working with SEND and gain a further knowledge and understanding of Autism. Role Requirements: Hold a current DBS, which is on the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS. Have previous experience working with children with SEN.
