Balfour Beatty VINCI is working with a range of organisations to design and build 90km West Midlands stretch of HS2 - Britain rsquo;s new high speed railway. Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. It rsquo;s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we rsquo;re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you rsquo;d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Engagement Interface Manager within the Stakeholder Engagement team. This role will be based on site in Coleshill. Our head office is located within an excellent location easily accessible via the M6 and M42. The office is also accessible via rail, and we offer employees a shuttle bus transfer to our office from Birmingham international. Role description: To lead the community engagement and interface function (within your geographical area) delivering HS2s community engagement strategy, community commitments and interface requirements. Supporting an integrated team approach with HS2 and other contractors rsquo; representative. To work collaboratively within the joint venture team and other key stakeholders to create, plan, deliver and measure effective stakeholder engagement and interface that drives value and protects and enhances the reputation for the HS2 Project, the Balfour Beatty VINCI joint venture and parent companies. Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders acting as a trusted adviser on strategic engagement matters. Experienced required: Ability to lead teams and to manage, engage, and develop direct reports. Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills. Highly organised with good management and coordination skills. Community relations and stakeholder management experience Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office bull; BBV behaviours, respecting equality and diversity. Experience of working on large building/civil engineering infrastructure projects and/or the construction industry. Experience of communicating and engaging with communities around construction activities particularly on large scale linear projects (e.g., rail, highway or similar).Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI rsquo;s role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
