Credit controller

SF Recruitment have partnered with a brilliant business based in Sheffield who are looking for a full time, permanent Credit Controller. You will join a small and friendly team, and an attractive all round pacakge. The Position You will report directly into the Credit Manager; the Credit Controller is a key member of the credit team, primarily responsible for managing an aged debt portfolio for multiple branches. Although these will be the main responsibilities, you will become part of a flexible team meaning you will have opportunities to get involved in all areas of credit control. Duties of the Credit Controller will involve: Managing a sizeable aged debt ledger including customers ranging from sole traders to national contractors. Chasing customers for payment via various communication methods, primarily phone and email. Taking, allocating and reconciling payments working with our Finance Department. Support ad hoc Credit Office projects. Maintain and develop excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The Individual This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Credit Controller seeking to apply their skills in a vibrant, fast-paced Credit Office. To meet this challenge you should be able to demonstrate the following: At least two years #39; experience in a Credit Department, ideally as a Credit Controller. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Excellent attention to detail when dealing with payments and allocating cash. Proactive self-starter who is motivated to get the job done. Good time management skills, able to prioritise workload and deliver under pressure of deadlines.
