Production engineer

Production Engineer ndash; Days GBP44,000 - GBP49,000 Plus Benefits The Company My client is a world leading manufacturer of specialist equipment and supplies into multiple industries. They have over 100 years rsquo; experience and a global manufacturing operation. They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer to ensure the proper manufacture and quality of the finished product. The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager your key responsibility will be to drive product quality by understanding the build, testing and inspection. Other responsibilities will include: * Monitoring product quality throughout the full production process * Participating in product development activities to meet ongoing requirements. * Supporting operations staff with Continuous Improvement activities * Investigation of any product quality issues * Product quality audits * Optimization of cost and product revenues * Reduction of end-of-line failures * Supporting production to meet customer deadlines and target outputs. * Extracting raw data, analyse and generate reports. The Candidate The Production Engineer appointed to this role will be educated to a minimum ONC in an Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical engineering discipline and experience (preferably in the Rail industry) in a similar role! A working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic Design, System Design and System Integration as well as Railway standards (such as EN50155, EN50121 EN50126/8/9) would be advantageous. Communication is an integral part of your experience, whether engagement with your team or stakeholders. You will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
