Engine assembly technician

Express recruitment is excited to be working alongside one of the East Midland rsquo;s most prestigious engineering firms. Our client is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their talented assembly team. You will be contracted to 40 hours per week, working 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. Overtime is paid in addition to contracted hours worked (x1.25 midweek and x1.5 at weekends). The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary of up to GBP30,000 alongside excellent employee benefits such as internal progression opportunities, regular salary reviews, 25 days holiday + 8 statutory days, enhanced paid overtime, private medical insurance and up to a 7.5% pension. Roles Responsibilities * Assemble precision engine components using state of the art tooling and equipment * Produce clear, accurate and concise technical reports * Collaborate alongside the manufacturing and fitting department to identify and resolve quality issues * Work closely with assembly team to achieve team KPI rsquo;s * Create dimension measurements of assemblies using calibration equipment * Interpret and understand engineering schematics/drawings * Travel to various customer sites throughout the UK and overseas when opportunities arise Skills Experience * Hold a formal qualification in relevant engineering discipline * Have an avid interest in motorsports and passion for cars * Experience working towards tight deadlines * Be computer literate on MS office packages, especially Excel * Have a flexible approach to working hours during peak periods * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills About Express Recruitment Express Recruitment has been offering exceptional recruitment solutions across the East Midlands since 1987, ldquo;exceeding expectations every time rdquo; of over 267,000 candidates.
