Senior quantity surveyor

Senior Quantity Surveyor NCS are searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established company that operate across the UK. This role will be based in Birmingham, so you will need to be in a commutable distance of, or located in Birmingham. Previous experience in the social housing industry is preferred in this instance but the role is open to candidates of a variety of experience if the experience is transferable. You will be responsible for; * Accurately estimate costs for social housing projects, considering materials, labour, overhead expenses, and ongoing expenses during the project duration. * Work closely with stakeholders to establish realistic budgets that tie in with your clients desired outcome. * Continuously monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle and ensure transparency and accountability in the financial management of the projects. * Maintain a highly organised approach to the control of budgets, detailed documentation and allocation of expenditure. * Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project costs, and be proactive in developing strategies to mitigate these risks. * Implement cost control measures to monitor project expenditures. * Work closely with the project teams to optimise resource allocation and maximise cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety. * Lead the tendering process, prepared tender documentation and evaluate bids from sub contractors and suppliers. * Negotiate contracts with sub contractors, suppliers and other service providers that may be involved with the projects. * Ensure compliance with building regulations and procurement policies. * Indentify opportunities to enhance project value and maximise ROI Qualifications; - Required; * Degree in Quanitity Surveying - Desired; * CSCS * Health and Safety Qualification The working pattern for this role are a standard working week working Monday to Friday.
