Surveyor groundworks construction

Job Title: Surveyor - Groundworks Projects Location: St Albans Salary: GBP50,000-GBP60,000 DOE Key Responsibilities: * Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for groundworks projects. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations. * Evaluate project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and other resources, to determine project costs. * Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns and proposals. * Present estimates to management and participate in bid reviews and negotiations. * Monitor and track project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or variances. * Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitive and accurate estimations. Qualifications: * Bachelor #39;s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. * Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on groundworks projects. * Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes. * Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Effective communication and negotiation abilities. * Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
