Senior civil engineer

Senior Civil Design Engineer Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their successful engineering and landscape team, based in Glasgow. Predominantly working with key local authority clients with a focus on active travel and public realm projects. The successful candidate will ideally have varied experience in in a similar role, with the ability to plan, deliver and manage workload to ensure delivery of multiple design projects to tight deadlines. The consultancy is an award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy providing services across development planning, environment, landscape, and engineering. The office provides a very welcoming, supportive and flexible environment. Requirements of the role: middot;Bachelors (or Masters) Level Degree in relevant field. Ideally working towards chartered status middot;Consultancy experience working in the UK development sector middot;Excellent communicator with ability to answer technical queries from Clients and Contractors middot;Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to be confident and pro-active in liaising with clients, local authorities, and wider stakeholders middot;Strong attention to detail and the ability to independently manage time and resource across multiple projects, including managing junior staff middot;An enthusiastic approach to professional work and a #39;can-do #39; attitude middot;Proficient with the use of AutoCAD middot;Experience of 3d modelling software for Highway/Earthworks Design (preferably Civils 3D) middot;Experience in the use of drainage design software (Microdrainage and / or Causeway Flow) middot;Experience of cycle design standards and best practice middot;Solid working knowledge and experience of Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) designs and standards middot;Contract management knowledge (NEC3/4) would be an advantage Benefits: middot;Competitive Salary with good scope for advancement middot;Flexible working - we offer all staff options around home/office working middot;Positive work-life balance with a strong team ethic middot;Training and Professional Development opportunities - we encourage all staff to continue learning and building knowledge through external training / CPD.
