Senior structural engineer

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (Surveying / Design - Dual role) Glasgow and surrounding areas Our wonderful client has a requirement for a Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in structural surveys design to join their growing dynamic business. The role will deliver high quality structural advice and solutions for their Commercial and residential clients. The successful candidate will be passionate about digital technology and the benefits it brings to the profession. They actively encourage their staff to bring forward new, exciting ideas to help shape our future As the Senior Structural Engineer, your duties will include: * Inspection of all types of buildings and structures and the preparation of digital reports, live on site * Preparation of specifications for remedial works * Providing technical support for Buildings Insurance claims, including Subsidence, fire, and storm damage * Completing site visits for residential and commercial building projects using digital technology * Delivering small to medium design projects * Delivering design calculations for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, impact, flooding and storm damage * Reporting to the Managing Director and providing progress reports * Developing new ideas to help shape the future of the business Education knowledge required as the Senior Structural Engineer: * Good degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (essential) * Several years experience in structural surveys of buildings (essential) * Several years post graduate design experience (essential) * Proficiency in IT systems (essential) * A general understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber (essential) * MICE or MIStructE (desirable) Key Attributes Skills required as a Senior Structural Engineer * Excellent communication skills, ensuring great customer service * Excellent work ethic, willing to go above and beyond to support the company growth * Passionate about new technologies, progressive change and continuous improvement * Car owner and UK driving licence, able to travel to site SYSTEMS CAPABILITY: * All aspects of Microsoft Office * Industry standard structural design software such as TEDDS * Proficient in the use of AutoCad and preferably REVIT * GoReport (training provided) Benefits: * Permanent position * 37.5 hours per week with flexible hybrid working available * Location: Scotland ndash; Glasgow and surrounding areas. * GBP45,000 + DOE If you feel you have the right skills and experience required for the Senior Structural Engineer role, please click the link to #39;Apply
