Assistant management accountant

Our client is a privately owned international organisation operating within the FMCG/Retail sector. They are a really interesting business with major operations across the world. As a result of an internal promotion, they are now seeking to appoint an ambitious part-qualified individual to this key position. Reporting into the Corporate Finance Manager the role operates within the group head office statutory entity. You will provide direct support to the Finance Manager in all areas of the monthly reporting cycle, P L and balance sheet preparation, accruals and prepayments, budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow forecasting, statutory reporting and VAT filing. You will also be involved in assisting others within the group function when required. The position has wide-ranging exposure to many parts of the business both in the UK and abroad, so it is ideally placed for the successful candidate to really develop their career in an exciting and fast-moving business. As an individual you will be part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and actively pursuing your qualification. You will have a good understanding of month-end procedures and expectations, controls and processes. You will be an energetic and curious individual with excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills are paramount, as is exposure to ERP/Finance software and a high level of Excel proficiency.
