Management accountant

Position: Management Accountant Location: Hackney Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000, depending on experience. They are seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join their innovative team. Key Responsibilities: * Manage borrower drawdowns, oversee payment runs, and track repayments. * Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. * Prepare group VAT returns. * Maintain ledger integrity by processing transactions and preparing month-end journals. * Prepare monthly management accounts. * Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and budgets. * Maintain accurate cash flow forecasts and loan track records. * Prepare quarterly investor reports. * Support statutory audits. * Work with external advisors to ensure timely filing of tax returns and statutory accounts. * Design, implement, and document key financial controls for process improvements. * Perform ad-hoc duties as needed. * Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth financial operations. * Prepare monthly reconciliations. * Maintain the fixed asset register. About You: The ideal candidate will be part qualified or in the process of obtaining an accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a keen interest in real estate and debt finance. You should be eager to join a fast-growing, ambitious company, possess a positive, can-do attitude, and have the ability to pick things up quickly, multitask, and build strong relationships with colleagues. Skills and Experience: * Minimum of 3 years rsquo; finance experience. * Experience handling complex groups and intercompany transactions. * Strong understanding of double-entry accounting. * Proficiency in Excel. * Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. * Strong attention to detail. * Effective verbal and written communication skills.
