Part time financial controller

This well-established organisation based in central Guildford are looking for a Part Time Financial Controller to join their team. You will be joining a reputable organisation that has various sites across Surrey and you will be based in the offices in Guildford. You will be working 20 hours a week with flexibility in how you work these hours but this has to be over 4 or 5 days a week. You will be given a full handover in this role and have full autonomy in the position. A brilliant opportunity for an experienced individual who has experience in an SME and is looking for a reduced hours role. You will be required to liaise with other sites with occasional visits required and you must be in the office on a daily basis. Your key responsibilities will be: * Full preparation and production of the monthly management accounts * Full balance sheet analysis and reconciliation for the MD * Year-end accounts and liasion with the accountants in respect of corporation tax * Monthly payroll for 3 companies * Handling the AP and AR functions and working closely with existing suppliers * Bank posting and reconciliations * Supporting with general office duties including HR and facilities management * Overseeing support staff rsquo;s work in Guildford and other offices The successful Part Time Financial Controller will have: * Previous experience in a similar position * Experience of working in an SME or a sole charge role will be beneficial * Working knowledge of Sage * Payroll exposure * Ability to communicate at all levels Howett Thorpe are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role and comply with all relevant UK legislation and do not discriminate on any protected characteristics.
