Mechanical Fitter - FMCG 4 on 4 off shift (days and nights - 12 hours) Overview This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter or mechanically focused engineer to join a growing company. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be joining an experienced a stable team in a challenging, yet supportive environment. The role will be varied on a daily basis with a focus on ensuring machine availability and minimising downtime. Responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitter Proactive maintenance and site PMs Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly Working across mechanical faults and maintenance Ensuring production lines are operational and minimising downtime. Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output Adhering to site Health safety rules and legislation on site Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject Experience working in a maintenance engineer role previously, ideally in a similar industry Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
