Contracts manager

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and organised Contracts Manager to join their team in Surbiton. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects across multiple sectors, from inception to completion. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities: * Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from tendering and contract negotiation to project completion and handover. * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. * Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. * Coordinate with internal teams, including project managers, site managers, and subcontractors, to allocate resources and ensure project milestones are met. * Monitor project progress and performance against established goals and objectives, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise. * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle. * Prepare and submit regular progress reports and updates to clients and senior management. * Manage contract variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed. * Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role in the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project management principles. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Proficiency in project management software and tools. * Relevant degree or professional qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
