Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading manufacturing group to manage their recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The company have won a number of significant long-term orders and have substantial growth plans, as a result have a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who has experience working in a machining environment. A key appointment will have responsibility for NPI, strategy development, business improvement and the development of the engineering team. The Role Coordinate all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI). Lead and develop the skills and capabilities of the manufacturing engineering team. Develop capable processes and standard work within manufacturing engineering and manufacturing operations. Partner with corporate engineering group and centre of excellence based in the EU to drive companywide best practices. Drive continuous improvement plans and a lean methodology throughout the business. Ensure coordination with other departments to develop a unified approach for processing new products or improving existing products. Manage the engineering budget, develop capital investment plans for technology and expansion of existing capabilities. Optimise process capability. Development of best practice manufacturing processes Coaching and mentoring the use of six sigma tools and techniques within the team. The Candidate Bachelor #39;s Degree (preferred in Engineering) Experience in a precision machining manufacturing environment. Excellent leadership, mentoring and influencing skills with ability to inspire and motivate others. Proven track record of successful NPI. Aerospace experience preferred but not essential.
