Job Opportunity: Logistics Assistant Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting a Logistics Assistant based in Coventry (CV2). This role plays a crucial part in coordinating despatch activities and managing transport logistics for efficient warehouse operations. We are seeking an individual with a can-do attitude, strong initiative, and enthusiasm for both independent work and teamwork. Job Summary: The Logistics Assistant will ensure accurate and timely deliveries by collaborating closely with warehouse teams, coordinating transport schedules, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position involves approximately 60% administrative work and 40% warehouse-related tasks. Shift Details: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30 Salary: GBP25,000-GBP26,000 per annum (depending on experience) Contract Type: Permanent role Key Responsibilities: bull; Conduct thorough checks on despatch orders for accuracy. bull; Optimise delivery routes to improve cost efficiency. bull; Coordinate with customers to schedule deliveries as per their requirements. bull; Manage company van schedules and assist drivers with any issues. bull; Communicate effectively with customers to provide excellent service. bull; Work closely with sales and warehouse teams to streamline processes. bull; Assist in warehouse operations when required. bull; Ensure proper documentation and tracking of orders and stock movements. bull; Maximise company van capacity for efficient transportation. Required Skills and Experience: bull; Previous experience as in a similar role is a must to be considered for this role. bull; Previous experience with Sage would advantageous bull; Must be computer literate with strong IT skills. bull; Strong communication and organisational skills. bull; Ability to solve problems proactively. bull; Proficiency in managing relationships with customers and colleagues. bull; Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
