Section engineer

Force Contracting Services are a very well-established and successful Civil Engineering Contractor based in Worksop, South Yorkshire. We specialise in Utilities (substations/power generation), Rail, Nuclear, Property Development. We have experienced a period of sustained growth and several exciting new project wins, hence we are looking for a Section Engineer to work on a long term bridge build project. Role: Section Engineer Location: Edgcott, Buckinghamshire Scope: 160m overpass bridge build Rate: GBP(Apply online only)/day - Outside IR35 Hours: 7.30am ndash; 6pm Monday ndash; Friday Duration: 12 months Duties/Responsibilities: * Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, and materials to carry out works activities to the required standard, programme, and budget. * Manage the site setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers. * Monitor and coordinate subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements. * Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), as well as Inspection Test Plants (ITPs). * Implement and maintain the Scheme Management Plan (SMP). * Prepare and raise Temporary Work Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation. * Raise design related Request for Information (RFI rsquo;s) and Technical Queries (TQ rsquo;s). * Constant communication and liaison with the commercial team providing detailed information to allow for accurate financial reporting including Compensation Events (CE rsquo;s) and Early Warnings (EW rsquo;s). Requirements: * Relevant construction related degree/HNC. * Valid CSCS. * Previous experience working as a Section Engineers on a heavy Civils project. * Commercial and contractual awareness.
