Hygiene operative

GI Group are recruiting for a Hygiene Operative to assist the Hygiene Team leader in all aspects of cleaning to ensure and maintain safe and hygienic conditions within the manufacturing environment and related areas. The role will include. - assisting in the cleaning of food production areas and equipment parts in a manner that satisfies leading industry standards in all aspects of Food Quality, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). - To strip, clean and sanitise machine to ensure that production schedules are maintained. - Achieve the targets and job standards set by the Hygiene Supervisor. - Comply with all legal and company food handling and hygiene requirements. - Comply with and maintain health and safety requirements. - To work to a high standard ensuring attention to detail at all times to ensure that documented cleaning procedures are maintained. - To be flexible in terms of contractual hours. - Complete all relevant hygiene documentation on a daily basis. - Immediately report any machinery defects which may have an impact upon production schedules. - Completion of periodical refresher training in #39;safe chemical handling #39; We are looking for people with skills and experience in: - Good time keeping and attendance is essential. - A reasonable level of numeracy and literacy. - Ability to follow instructions. - Ability to work to deadlines. - Ability to work alone and as part of a team. - Successful completion of company induction, which includes basic food hygiene and health safety. - To have a good degree of manual dexterity. - To adopt good manual handling practices as and when required. - Good communication skills, to include verbal and written English. - Ability to safely handle chemicals. Shift Patterns Night shift - Friday to Sunday 18:00pm - 06:00am (12 Hour shift) Shift Premium rates available.
