Research finance manager

Job Title: Research Finance Manager Location: Bloomsbury, London Salary: GBP22 - GBP26 per hour, depending on experience. Tate Recruitment have partnered with a leading university in Bloomsbury, London, committed to excellence in research, education, and enterprise. We seek a Research Finance Manager for a 3-month contract to support the research and enterprise activities. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you #39;ll develop strategies to enhance research income, manage grant administration, and monitor project finances. Additionally, you #39;ll provide post-award support, advise grant holders, initiate research staff appointments, and ensure compliance with funders #39; terms. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Develop strategies to enhance research income and outputs. Facilitate grant administration, ensuring compliance with funders #39; terms. Manage project finances, monitoring expenditure against budgets. Provide post-award support and advise grant holders as needed. Initiate and monitor research staff appointments and contract extensions. Support the preparation of cost statements and management reports.Candidate Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent, or having acquired relevant experience in managing financial processes. Knowledge of research funding processes and regulations within a Higher Education/Research environment. Experience of using online financial systems such as MyFinance and Worktribe. High accuracy and attention to detail. Strong financial skills, including budgeting and forecasting. Initiative and ability to work autonomously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
