As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility is to aid and support to individuals dealing with Learning differences and mental health conditions. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote the well-being, independence, and recovery of clients. This role requires empathy, patience, and a commitment to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health issues. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all service users and expect all staff to share this commitment The Key Responsibilities of the job role: middot; Provide one-to-one support and supervision to individuals. middot; Aid all services users in need of assistance middot; Promoting independence to residents with day-to-day decisions (clothing, bathing, choices of food etc) middot; Work collaboratively with other staff members and professionals. middot; Maintain accurate records and documentation of interventions and outcomes middot; Provide emotional support and practical assistance to individuals to help them achieve their goals and aspirations middot; Work closely in a holistic approach to care middot; Establish trusting relationships with clients and their families. middot; Advocate for clients #39; needs and rights within the community and healthcare system. middot; Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support to individuals in distress. middot; Implement crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies. middot; Coordinate with emergency services when required. middot; Support clients in engaging with community resources and activities-cinema, appointments etc The successful candidate will have: middot;Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care middot;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills middot;A passion to support and care for others middot;A drive to learn and develop middot;Flexibility to work middot;A minimum of 3 months UK care experience middot;The right to work in the UK middot;Commitment to providing high-quality care and support. middot;Ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously middot;Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations middot;Provide a supportive and structured environment that promotes positive change. middot;A sense of humour and the ability to bring a smile to the service users face! middot;A can-do attitude middot;Excellent timekeeping skills middot;Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental approach to working with individuals with mental health challenges.
