Property solicitor

Property Lawyer Full Time, Permanent Based in Stoke An excellent opportunity has arisen for an In-house Property Lawyer to join our clients growing housing business in their Stoke Office. The principle purpose of the role is to deal with property acquisitions for the purpose of acquiring land for development and/or assist the head of department in such matters. You should be self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to meet strict deadlines. It is essential that you are a qualified solicitor, have a property background either from private practice or in-house, the role can be adapted depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Include: bull; Preparation of heads of terms bull; Preparation/approval of contract/option/pre-emption agreement/promotion agreement/overage based on the heads of terms bull; Preparation of report on title bull; Oversee requests for searches bull; Raise title enquiries before the contract bull; Attend any meetings that are required for the progress of the matter bull; Attend site visits for the purpose of checking the development site bull; Draft section 106 agreements bull; Complete SDLT documentation and registration applications bull; Assist others in the department bull; Prepare site set-up documentation bull; Negotiate infrastructure agreements Skills, Qualifications and Experience: The ideal candidate will want to focus on development work and have effective oral and written communication skills. The candidate should have a pleasant and proactive manner, be risk-management focussed, have good analytical skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. They will be highly organised, familiar with co-ordinating multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive on working to deadlines. The candidate should be proficient with IT (Microsoft packages, Excel etc.) and have good attention to detail, in addition to being self-motivated, customer-focused, target-driven, positive and a team player. A full driving licence is essential.
