Senior systems engineer

Our partner is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work within multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the mechanical, electrical, and software design aspects of a project function seamlessly and the system meets the customer needs. Key Responsibilities for the Senior Systems Engineer: Requirements Capture and management. Functional and Physical Systems Architecture Design and Definition. System Modelling. Development of Engineering Management Plans (Safety Management, Test Integration Acceptance, Technical Risk Management). Gathering of verification evidence for System Requirements. Creation of Procurement Specifications for sub-systems and components. Writing test specifications. Conducting Design reviews. Environmental Qualification Plans (EMC, Temperature, Shock Vibration).Key Skills Experience Required for the Senior Systems Engineer: Essential - A degree in Engineering or physical sciences. Minimum of 5 years rsquo; systems engineering experience in a defence engineering (or similar) company. Proficient in the use of requirements management tools (DOORS, Visure or R4J). Work package management in JIRA. Proficient in Report Writing. Desirable - Technical Leadership of project teams with a significant level of responsibility for managing project risks and for delivering on time and on budget. Experience in working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Working in multi-disciplinary teams on projects with a high level of complexity. Safety Management (MIL-STD 882E, DEF-STAN 00-56, ISO 12100:2010). Statutory Compliance (CE Marking). Camera Sensor Technology (InfraRed and visible spectrum, DRI performance).
