Job Title: Senior Engineer Location: West Midlands Salary: 40 ndash; 45k Reporting To: Regional Service Manager Summary: As a Senior Engineer, you #39;ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of service activities. From planned maintenance to reactive calls, your expertise will be crucial in upholding British Standards and current legislation. Your responsibilities extend to effective communication with customers, promoting company values, and maintaining a professional demeanour as an ambassador. Core Responsibilities: - Collaborate with your line manager to achieve team objectives and enhance performance. - Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance standards are met. - Execute all tasks efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to company policies. - Provide technical support to technicians, guiding them on parts and equipment selection. - Offer cover for the Regional Service Manager when needed. - Participate in company-identified training sessions and suggest additional training as needed. - Be available for reasonable overtime as required by business demands. - Occasionally supervise junior engineers and contribute to their training through our Engineering Academy. - Facilitate installation handovers as directed by the Regional Service Manager. - Uphold team behaviour standards and be available for escalation support outside of office hours. Key Competencies: - Extensive experience in servicing activities across Fire, Security, and related disciplines. - A methodical approach to problem-solving. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and address issues promptly. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Professional interpersonal skills suitable for interactions at all levels. - Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain exceptional customer service. Experience: - Demonstrable industry experience and competence. - Familiarity with British Standards such as BS5839, SP203, and SSAIB. - Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
