Lead devops engineer

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will have demonstrable excellent knowledge of AWS DevOps and modern practices including event-driven architecture, CI/CD, and IaC; as well as experience leading and supporting a highly skilled and talented Ops team. Responsibilities * Develop, mentor, and support the Ops team fostering career growth and improvement in stability and IT automation * Define and deliver the strategy, approach, and execution for the DevOps function identifying opportunities for business process improvement and optimisation * Collaborate closely with our Engineering and Product teams to resolve Incidents quickly and efficiently * Manage existing Hybrid Cloud/Private Cloud environment, driving the migration of service to AWS * Spearhead DevOps innovation, applying industry best practise architectures and methodologies in our environments Requirements * Experience in a DevOps technical leadership role * Applicants must be highly motivated, proactive, and have a passion for automation; with a developed sense of integrity and commitment to excellence * Strong work ethic and team player mentality with rapid decision making and analytical abilities * Expertise and experience to nurture and coach existing capabilities within our teams * You will be able to build a Kubernetes Cluster from scratch. * IaC, Terraform, CloudFormation code expertise, with Python or other development language * Significant experience with AWS (including serverless), including EKS.
