Lead data analyst

We are looking for a Lead Data Analyst to analyse large/complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and correlations that provide valuable actionable insight in business domains. To develop and implement analytical models and algorithms optimise process and support decision making though tools and ad hoc data story telling. Interacting, absorbing information and presenting to stakeholders of all seniorities from C-Suite to operational staff. Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior staff. * Collecting, cleaning and organizing data from various sources. * Establish processes and workflows for data collection, storage, retrieval and sharing * Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement data analytics solutions that follow established patterns * Provide guidance and training to junior staff on data analytics, cleaning, architecture and storytelling best practices * Maintaining data integrity and ensuring data quality through the end to end process * Perform ad hoc analysis to address specific strategic business questions and challenges * Monitor and evaluate KPI and PI structures both for suitability but also monitor performance to identify and highlight areas of improvement. * Stay up to date with emerging trends, tools and techniques in analytics. Requirements * Undergraduate degree in any of the following Computer Science, Statistics and Mathematics, Environmental Sciences or similar. * Experience in data visualization using AWS quicksight or similar BI tools creating drill able dynamic dashboards. * Experience on data storytelling and persona led information provision. * At least 5 years of data analysis experience using Python/R. * Experience of data mining and cleaning approaches, using basic Python and R libraries such as pandas, dplyr and tidyr * Experience with the AWS ecosystem (redshift, quicksight, S3, Sagemaker) * Experience in developing statistical models(A/B testing,Regression Models) within a data science framework, with some knowledge of machine learning approaches and algorithms * At least 5 years of experience of SQL (or T-SQL) for querying relational databases. * Great data wrangling skills. * Good technical communication skills in English. * Strong numeracy and good statistical skills. * Able to work in a matrix environment with flexibility to perform a range of analytical activities when coordinating with product and business teams. * Excellent problem-solving skills. Desired skills and experience: * Familiarity with GitHub, Linux, Shell scripting (bash). * Some basic understanding of text mining and NLP pre-processing steps with relevant libraries in Python or R, such as beautiful soup, nltk etc * Some project experience in text analytics and relevant areas (e.g. text classification, topic detection, document information extraction, sentiment analysis, language modelling etc) * Experience in the training and production of machine learning models using structured and unstructured datasets. * Experience working as part of a scrum team. * Experience in the recruitment industry. Personal/Behavioural Characteristics: * Presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audiences of all ecosystems * Experience of creating outputs and consolidating requirements from diverse groups of stakeholders * Can do attitude and innovative thinking bringing experience from different domains to business problems.
