Senior Garment Technologist - Women #39;s Knitwear Leading High St Fashion Supplier - North London - Hybrid Supermarket Experience Desirable A major high street supplier with an international design and manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Women #39;s Knitwear Garment Technologist. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Garment Technologist looking to develop their career further within a fast-paced environment. Garment Technologist role: - Preparation of all samples before the fit meeting ndash; press/reference samples, specing initial samples, chasing production samples, uploading the PS chase up list. - Measure and inspect samples for fit and quality, sewing on buttons, ensure samples are tagged up with date. E.g., sealer, factory PP, PS etc. - Writing up comments, responding to emails, liaising cross department, attending handover meetings. - Liaise with factories regarding fit comments and spec requirements. - Understanding status reports and updating the critical path system. - Check and request test reports. - Chasing and gathering information, chasing correct trims, uploading sealing on visual. - Preparing Tech Packs, working closely with pattern cutters. About you: - Retail or supplier knitwear background, preferably with supermarket experience. - A degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion with a genuine passion for knitwear. - A strong understanding of yarns and knitwear manufacture. - Solid experience using Microsoft Office and Excel. - Good communication skills, using own initiative and be self-driven. - Organisational skills, accuracy skills and be innovative with a proactive approach to problem solving.
