Operations technologist

Role Summary Working for the Operations Leader, alongside Account Managers and Operations peers, the Operations Technologist will be responsible for achieving defined goals objectives as well as working safely, compliantly and efficiently within a defined group of customer accounts. The Operations Technologist will take guidance from the Operations Leader and will service, recommend changes, report and communicate treatment performance with customer representatives in accordance with the commercial agreement. Essential Responsibilities EHS Compliance bull; Ensure they work in a safe manner at all times when delivering company objectives and comply with internal, legislative and customer EHS requirements and policies. bull; Completes Legionella sampling to best practice, and utilises internal systems to document monitor Legionella related works. Legionella training to be completed every 3 years. bull; Be able to independently follow and document Legionella positive response process. bull; Competently carry out LCA audit checklist on EVS suppliers. bull; Engagement with the Gensuite system and associated tools to manage QEHS documentation and material. Use of the tool to manage RAMS, concern reports and other applications is essential. bull; Evidence of extensive engagement of planning compliance calendar tasks and inspection tool audits. bull; Continual use of Sharepoint for external internal sharing and document management. bull; Sharepoint audits completed to identify gaps, with clear deadlines in place to action audit findings. bull; Ensure correct sharepoint access and permissions for both WTS colleagues and customers. bull; Use of POWRA where appropriate. bull; Awareness of WTS rsquo;s Inclusion Diversity objectives. Commercial bull; Understands the commercial agreement at each assigned customer site and ensure the Account Manager is made aware of any customer requested scope change or over consumption to maintain profitability. bull; Works with the Account Managers to ensure that the profitability and productivity plans as defined by the Sales Director are met. bull; Ensures the Account Manager is made aware of any Customer Contact changes. bull; Identify opportunities for upgrades to the Account Manager, whether chemical dosing equipment (Chemfeed), training, analytical services or increased scope of supply. bull; Able to generate quotes for SAP items and liaise with the customer for fulfilment and delivery. bull; Identify margin improvements for account managers to follow through on. bull; Identifying opportunities for value generated proposals/proof not promises for account managers to facilitate and finalise ndash; at least one PNP to be completed annually Service bull; Ensure a service plan is defined by the Account manager and optimise the service activities at the assigned customers, to maximise productivity profitability as well working with the Account Manager to provide adequate cover for holidays. The service plan should contain but not be limited to scope of supply of services, time products as well as treatment limits, performance expectations KPI rsquo;s. The Analyst is responsible for executing the service plan. bull; Communicates basic technical concepts to the customer and seeks help for solutions. bull; Good and timely communication with customers wider WTS team, as well as raising issues with Operations Leaders and Commercial colleagues as required. bull; Completes submits Consultant Service Reports (CSRs) within agreed timescales and ensures CSRs always detail the Observations, Consequences and Actions for the customers attention. bull; Assisting with project execution as required, from surveying to completion. bull; Participation engagement in review meetings with customers in order to contribute from an operational and technical perspective. bull; Good organisation and ability to schedule plan site visits throughout each month on Outlook, ensuring visibility for Operations Leaders for scheduling. bull; Awareness engagement with safe chemical delivery storage procedure. bull; Compile operations manual for customer sites. Equipment bull; Calibration of personal onsite equipment and generation of calibration certificates as required. bull; Specialised maintenance of proprietary as well as third party technology equipment. bull; Operation of dosing pumps ndash; changing dosing rates as required based on onsite test results and ability to safely prime if required. bull; Independently diagnose issues found onsite and escalate or rectify as required. bull; Diagnose warning/error messages on control equipment and rectify. bull; Utilisation engagement of WTS rsquo;s digital data visualisation platform, InSight, to generate CSRs, manage trends alarms, inventory stocks, add parameters assets as required and escalate any issues as required. bull; Ability to install and set up tank level sensors and link to remote tank monitoring. bull; Review alarm limits with product applications specialist, account manager and customers. bull; Ability to troubleshoot and rectify connection issues with WTS monitoring equipment. bull; Create new InSight accounts, add assets and parameters with correct control ranges. Qualifications/Requirements bull; Preferred Chemistry/Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent scientific degree qualification. bull; Availability to travel within assigned area, including overnight stops. bull; Possession of valid UK driving license bull; Ability to effectively support multiple managers and teams bull; Good organisation, communication interpersonal skills bull; Goal oriented self-starter bull; Tools Proficiency with PC skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
