Process improvement manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Improvement Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and developing improvements via SPC (Statistical Process Control). This is a pivotal role for the business with the successful candidate responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing processes with a focus on optimising efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational performance. The will have a remit that covers the full supply chain of operations and data must be at the heart of everything they do. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of technical manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with company goals and objectives. * A strong focus on utilising SPC (Statistical Process Control) * Lead cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within manufacturing operations. * Utilise lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other improvement tools to drive sustainable change and optimise production processes. * Analyse production data, performance metrics, and KPIs to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for enhancement. * Confident in utilising an ERP system to extract material flow data to identify wider improvements * Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to streamline workflows, standardise processes, and implement best practices. * Provide training, guidance, and support to employees at all levels to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. * Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. * Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. * Communicate progress, successes, and challenges related to continuous improvement initiatives to senior management and key stakeholders. Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor #39;s degree in a chemical or technical discipline * Proven track record of at least 5 years in a similar role within a highly technical or complex manufacturing industry ndash; continuous process would be advantageous * A proven track record as a process/manufacturing or CI Engineer would be highly advantageous * Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement * Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change initiatives * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to all levels of the business * Proficiency in project management tools and software. * Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement certifications preferred.
