Test engineer electrical safety

Test Engineer (Electrical Safety) MillTech is working with their client in Milton Keynes who are growing their team rapidly due to a large increase in project commitments. Their Electrical testing division is one of the fastest growing areas for the business and are looking to add Test Engineers who can join and grow with the team. You will be joining an exciting team covering the following responsibilities: * Complete electrical safety evaluations covering Medical, Lighting, Appliances Electronics, Renewable Energy, Industrial Equipment and Life Safety Security products * Management of projects within the company rsquo;s guidelines * Technical documentation and processes against standard requirements * Complete and review evaluation test reports and ensure evaluations are completed to standard and within set timescales * Provide technical support to the wider business * Communicate and work closely with customers * Ensure evaluations are conducted within quality system and accreditation requirements To succeed in this position, we are looking for Test Engineers with the following background: * Proven experience in safety critical function design/development of electrical products and product safety testing * Experience and knowledge in one or more electrical safety standards including IEC / EN 60598 / 62031 / 60335 / UL153 / UL1598 * Understanding of different certification schemes and processes * Experience of generating test reports for customers and certification purposes * Ability to fault find down to component level * Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory * Good understanding of excel, word and data retention systems * Ideally Degree educated or hold a relevant Electrical/Electronic formal qualification This position would suit an Test Engineer who is looking to join a company offering an outstanding working culture.
