Learning mentor

A specialist Learning Hub in Sunderland are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Mentor to work with young people across Sunderland who have who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. About the role In the role of a Learning Mentor, you will be allocated key young people who require additional support in developing their communication, social skills and academic engagement. You will be required to adapt your mentoring style to make the young person feel safe and secure, with the long term goal of overcoming barriers to their education. You will work between the hours of 8.30am4.30pm, Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work from home during the week. This Learning Mentor role will start out on supply but will lead to a permanent contract if you rsquo;re the right fit.
