Multi skilled operative

Contract Type: #x202F; Full Time, Permanent Location: Somerset Working Hours: #x202F;Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, on call 1 week in 4 Salary: Up to GBP34,000 + standby and callout fees Multi Skilled Operative to be based in Somerset. This is a mobile role that will see you covering reactive maintenance within 30 miles from Taunton to Ilchester. You will be working to undertake a variety of plumbing services and other repairs, including building work, grounds work and drainage related leaks. Your main responsibility will be to repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending boking pipes and opening clogged drains, toilets, gutters, rain water pipes and any other plumbing work. Your other responsibilities include; Undertake patch plastering works, tiling, floor laying, decorating replacing of internal and external doors Install supports for pipes, equipment and fixtures prior to installation To undertake a continual programme of risk assessment in relation to the role To complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag works on completion Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of Right first-time fixes Ensure all H S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task Be flexible and willing to work shift patterns to cover the appointments Cover out of hours on a rota #x202F; What you rsquo;ll need to do this role Your core trade will be in plumbing A Full UK Driving License Experience in domestic plumbing and any other trade An NVQ Level 2 in qualification in a plumbing field Previous experience as a multi trade works #x202F; What we offer Company work van Up to 6% contributory pension scheme 25 Days annual leave Volunteer leave One paid professional subscription Life Assurance Policy Employee discount and reward schemes Training opportunities and qualifications within a supportive environment to ensure career progression
